Construction is underway on the Homewood Suites hotel in Birmingham’s historic Five Points South district. The hotel will have 105 rooms, each with a full kitchen. The seven-story design is in keeping with its neighboring buildings’ Art Deco period. Also in the hotel will be an indoor pool, a 24-hour fitness center and a spacious lobby. No completion date is yet available on the $23 million project.
