In the past few months, Birmingham has had a hefty helping of accolades and awards for its stellar dining scene. Now we learn that the city is not only delicious, it’s affordable too. Forbes recently released its list of “America’s Most Affordable Cities,” and Birmingham took top honors, landing in the number one spot. Forbes made the determination by analyzing data from Metropolitan Statistical Areas with populations of 600,000 or more. They used other factors as well including the cost of daily expenses.
