A New Sports/Events Complex and Lots of Attractions in Hoover

JUST TO THE SOUTH OF BIRMINGHAM IS THE THRIVING CITY OF HOOVER. Hoover is home to an impressive inventory of shops, restaurants, full- scale malls, attractions and other entertainment. Soon the city of Hoover will also be home to the Hoover Metropolitan Complex, a massive sports and events facility that already is attracting national attention.

Set to open in phases, the Finley Center portion of the complex is the fi rst portion to open, with 155,000 square feet of event space. The facility has 11 regulation-size basketball courts, 17 volleyball courts, exhibition space and more. A multiple-station food court is part of the venue and has full catering capabilities. A four-lane walking track and a Clip N Climb course is also part of the Finley Center, designed

to host visiting sports teams along with residents of Hoover.

The phase one opening comes in tandem with an expanded RV park with 172 camping spaces. It also encompasses the existing 10,500- seat Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, which is home to the SEC Baseball Tournament.

Phase two of the Hoover Metropolitan Complex will add fi ve regulation soccer/lacrosse fi elds, fi ve regulation softball/baseball fi elds and 16 tennis courts. Phase two is set to be complete in 2019. The complex will host multiple events simultaneously, while o ering abundant parking and good proximity to I-459.
