Since opening its doors in 1996, the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center has nourished the artistic soul of the Birmingham community. Located on the campus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the center has presented an impressive schedule of performers and performances over the past two decades. Patrons have enjoyed everyone from Mavis Staples to Jay Leno, along with dance, orchestral, and acrobatic performances

and educational presentations. Named for one of Birmingham s most

admired patrons of the arts, the Alys Stephens Center hosts more than 100,000 people annually in its four intimate venues. It is home to the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and UAB s Departments of Music and Theater.
