SPLASH ADVENTURE Splash Adventure Water Park is Alabama s only theme park nestled on 70 acres of rolling terrain in a beautiful wooded country setting. Splash Adventure offers a newly themed and designed Celebration Street, which features a variety of special events to celebrate holidays and seasonal happenings. The park has a 600,000-gallon wave pool that generates four-foot high waves and has a sand beach. An eight-story high, free-fall, dropout speed ride rounds out the new water park. The park includes three catered pavilions with a seating capacity of 200 people each.

TANNEHILL IRONWORKS Journey back to the days of the Civil War at Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park. This 1,500-acre state park features historical buildings such as the May Plantation Cotton Gin House, the John Wesley Hall Gristmall and the old Tannehill Iron Furnaces, which is one of the most well-preserved Civil War era ironworks in the nation. The park s on-site museum is filled with artifacts and exhibits that demonstrate how iron was made during the Civil War. Approximate tour time: 2 hours

VULCAN PARK AND MUSEUM Vulcan Park and Museum is home to the world s largest cast iron statue and features spectacular panoramic views of Birmingham. Located atop Red Mountain, this landmark tells the story of Birmingham s past, present and promise for the future. Vulcan, the Roman god of fire and forge, was built as Birmingham s entry in the 1904 World s Fair. A 10-acre urban green space surrounds the 56 high statue and observation balcony that sits upon a 124 pedestal. The Vulcan Center also features interactive exhibits with information on the region s industrial history and growth. Approximate tour time: 1.5 hours
