The Lakeshore Foundation offers a wide range of fitness, recreation, and athletic programs to children and adults. The Lakeshore Foundation is a designated training site for the U.S. Paralympics.
Concessions are available on site, but can be brought in by event planners. Facilities include two swimming pools, eight outdoor tennis courts, and a field house that can be converted into basketball or volleyball floor configurations.

The Lakeshore Foundation offers a wide range of fitness, recreation, and athletic programs to children and adults.
The Aquatics Center offers 2 swimming pools, a 4-lane 25-meter pool maintained at 92 degrees to accommodate for classes that focus on pain management and range of motion. This pool also includes an innovative children's play area to further enhance our
children's aquatics programs. A second 25-yard 8-lane pool maintained at a slightly cooler temperature is designed to meet more cardiovascular needs in water aerobics classes as well as lap swimming and competitive athletics.

Offers a wide range of fitness, recreation, athletic & education programs to children & adults who experience diagnostic conditions including spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, amputation & visual impairment.
A highly trained and experienced staff of more than 70 full and part-time employees provide programs in the new facility which includes an Aquatics Center with two pools, a Fieldhouse with three courts and a 200-meter track, a ten lane Marksmanship Range;
6,000 square foot Fitness Center and the Fred Sington Community Room. In addition to these amenities, the Lakeshore Foundation campus is home to an outdoor tennis facility with eight championship lighted hardcourts, the Birmingham office of the Alabama
Department of Rehabilitation Services, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Alabama Chapter and the HealthSouth Lakeshore Rehabilitation Hospital. The Lakeshore Foundation is one of six official training sites for the Paralympics.
