Pepper Place, an old Dr. Pepper syrup plant houses an eclectic mix of home furnishing shops, art galleries and architectural stores. During the spring and summer months, tourists and residents alike flock to the Pepper Place Market, an outdoor farmers market with chef demonstrations every Saturday. Alongside tomatoes, squash and peaches, shoppers find hand-crafted clothing, yard ornaments, honey, organic soaps, goat cheese and scones. Pepper Place is also home to the wildly popular Ovenbird restaurant.
