The Southern Museum of Flight is dedicated to investigating, preserving and promoting the rich stories of Southern aviation. Among the top exhibits are the Korean War jets, the Tuskegee Airmen diorama, the Lake Murray B-25, and the Vietnam War helicopters. Ship models and full-size aircraft carriers also are in the collection. Open Tuesday- Saturday, 9:30am- 4:30pm. We make special sensory accommodations for the visitors, just identify yourselves upon arrival and we can have a museum staff member provide them with a guided experience. One accommodation, for example, is that we disable all electronic sensors that trigger audio/visual features. We’ve also been accommodating low-vision/visually impaired groups by offering a guided hands-on experience.
