The University of Montevallo, Alabama’s public liberal arts university, offers a variety of arts and cultural events during the fall and spring semesters. Concerts, recitals, art exhibitions and theatrical productions fill the arts calendar each year. Most of the events are offered free of charge and are open to the public. Each February during College Night, the nation’s longest running homecoming tradition, showcases musical theater productions that are produced by students from the ground up. Productions are judged, and the winners claim bragging rights for the year.
